Bah! Darth strikes again!

Mum tried to use my desktop yesterday and couldnt get Mozilla to work. it appears there on the screen but doesnt do anything. As i was out i told her to try IE, but got a phone call 5 mins later telling me that noone could find it on there. As i never removed it and i'm still annoyed with how Darth mucked up my computer, i'll assume he removed it and feel very bitter towards him again...and as he's in Wales, i hope he gets lost up a mountain!

Because of all the hassle, Dad's going to Macro to get some stuff and then have a play. It's daft, he has all this interest in it all, but i have none. i'm starting work in a week and am supposed to show enthusiastic about all things crappy. Dad did however 'allow' me to open up an old computer and remove all the tiny ickle bits and put it back together. I made a cock-up though, i can't have put the processor back in properly, well all the pins anyway, so it didn't work. Found out wer i went wrong though, so it is a start.

My driving lessons went well, well my first two. been driving all around the places. i never realised how different things could be when ur driving compared to when ur a passenger.

On Thursday, i was down Cott Road with a letter and cheque for a special someone but Mum decided to come and pick me up from Newland as i was carrying a lot of wet boards and toys. I was planning on dropping off the letter and stuff but Mum said that she had to do something else and couldnt hang around for me to drop something off. I might have another go next Thurs. Sunday's are terrible for doing anything. Working 3-4 for that Muslim group. As they're being seriously annoying, i doubt i'll be doing it for too long. It would be a good little group if they werent so up themselves and think it's beneath them to talk to me. The children are really nice, but some of the adults are terrible. One woman actually told me that some of the mothers don't like me because i'm white! How bad is that?!

Anyway, going to continue wishing Darth gets lost and losing at Monopoly (Chris keeps beating me by putting Hotels on the browns and pinks all the time) but winning at Labyrinth : D

The trick to winning at Monopoly is to try to get one corner and one row. I prefer to try and own the Orange and Red corner and get Mayfair and Park Lane (and the Greens if I can afford it). Houses and hotels on the Oranges and Reds with the profits building up the Purples, eventually bankrupting anyone who lands on them.

Of course you could play the way me and Adam play again other people. Buy up various bits of the board then form the Adadave Corporation where you benefit from lowered rent and win when you bankrupt everyone but eachother...

Now, although we gave up because it got really boring, i did do better. i owned the browns, so naturally put hotels on them, and the dark blues, so put hotels on them as well. i was one off the light blues and no matter how much i offered him for the angel, he wouldnt budge. he had hotels on teh pinks and reds. i did own the utilities which is always a good one.

i ended up with 6k926 and he finished on 7k190, which is annoying.

thanks for the advice...any more?

Don't put hotels on browns, the purpose of browns is either to trade with others (a full set + something in return for a property that gives you a full set or puts you in a position to get a full set) or tie up the housing market (if you have 12 houses on your browns that's tying up the housing market and prevent others from developing more profitable properties).

My 2p anyway ;)

I can't remember the rules now as the #old# version of monoloply is upstairs and this newer one is here minus the rules, but i didnt know you could put loads of houses on. figured it was only 4 then a hotel once you had enough mular. i may have to dig out the old one.

we played Junior monopoly yesterday as it was chucking it down but it was over too fast. i think that's why Gav liked playing it. he didnt have to concentrate for too long.

i can see the point in your suggestions though. atleast this last game i wasnt struggling all the time. i did have money heeh

It is 4, I just can't count. You tie up 8 houses, not 12. You can do the same with the light blues too. Because you can only buy as many houses as there are in the box, and can't upgrade to hotels without first building houses, using the browns to tie up the housing market helps stop other players building hotels in more profitable places...

ah now i'm glad i have been playing that particular bit properly.

i always end up putting hotels on them as people more than not land on them after a while so they start to pay their own way.

the problem is that Chris somehow always seems to get what he wants...like the railways, etc. ah well...his luck must change soon.

er...if you goto run and type 'iexplore' u get internet explorer.

the reason why i removed it was because u never used it because u used firefox anyway, so i was trying to remove the clutter.

Like i've said to you before and i'll say it again, stop mucking about with other people's things. i never asked you to do anything to my computer way back then...so why do it! it's like changing my light bulb when it didn't need changing.

..and for good measure, STAY OUT OF MY ROOM hehehe
